Legendary Boston sports talk host Eddie Andelman returns to the airwaves with the New Sports Huddle on Sunday nights from 7-10P.
If you grew up in New England, then you certainly listened to the original Sports Huddle in the '70s. Perhaps by osmosis...for certain as a kid your Dad was tuned in Sunday nights either at home on the radio in the kitchen or in the car. Eddie Andelman is credited with inventing sports radio and has been doing it quite successfully over the past 35 years on WBZ, WHDH, WEEI, 1510TheZone.
Along with his illustrious radio career, Eddie Andelman has given back to the community. Devoting his time to a number of local charities, Eddie has raised millions of dollars throughout the years. Being honored as the Jimmy Fund Man of the Year, Joey Fund Cystic Fibrosis Man of the Year, and the Big Brother Man of the Year. Eddie is the creator of the Hot Dog Safari. Now, in its 17th year has raised millions of dollars for the Joey Fund Cystic Fibrosis research to be held Sunday, June 4th.
Joining Eddie on the New Sports Huddle is Bill Fairweather, former Executive Producer of ESPN's NFL Prime Time with Chris Berman and Emmy-winning producer of ESPN's SportsCenter; and, longtime Boston comedian Mike Donovan, his hilarious sports commentary has been featured on ESPN SportsCenter, and published in Sports Illustrated, Boston Globe, Boston Herald and Boston Phoenix.
