National TV News Babes are for me what movie stars are for normal people. I am fixated every day on the news, and equally fixated on the news babes who present it. I am, every day, charmed by and infatuated with (some of) them. Having been in national politics/media most of my life, these are the chicks I keenly admire/desire; many are, happily, women I have known, worked with and, in a few cases, with whom I have had a personal relationship (though, tragically, not with any listed below.) (Yet.) Herewith, my top five national news babes, whose dinner company I would very greatly enjoy - but, if dinner is booked, a martini breakfast works for me.
1. Ann Curry, NBC/Today Show:
Gorgeous, great eyes, refined, long-legged, thin and elegant; a contemporary Grace Kelly - but much sexier. So beautiful, it hurts to look at her.
2. Betty Ngyuen, CNN Anchor:
Twenty-something, smoking hot, breathtaking figure. Can't take my eyes off her when she is on-camera. The sexiest News Babe on the air. The notion I may never know her makes me weep openly.
3. Juliette Huddy, Fox:
California surfer girl prototype; Blonde, piercing blue eyes, stunning form, Case closed.
4. Katie Couric, CBS Anchor:
No, I do not care about her politics, because she is a lovely All-American girl, smart, clever and - may I say - a simply Magnificent bosom. Magnificent.
5. Paula Zahn, CNN
That Paula has celebrated her 50th birthday is a modern marvel - she appears 30: lights up the camera with striking beauty; beautiful blonde; thin, elegant, spectacular eyes and smile. Yum.
*Honorable Mention: The above is by no means an exhaustive list. I reserve the right - here and on-air - to comment on many others whom, for the sake of space, I must here neglect. And, your opinions, please (Gentlemen AND Ladies).
